Parks & Recreation Commission

Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month (excluding July & November) at 7:00 pm at Hilliard City Hall.  November and December meetings are combined in early December due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Call the Hilliard Parks & Recreation Department at 876-5200 to confirm meetings.

The Hilliard Arts Council, seeks to develop innovative and exciting opportunities in the Hilliard Community A growing list of annual events include a winter performance of a professional tour, a winter children's show/concert, a summer musical featuring local talent, a Arts Festival/Show and Christmas events such as a performance of Handel's Messiah and Winterfest. Hilliard Arts Council meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, contact Ken Brenneman at 527-4407 for additional information.

The Hilliard Area Garden Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month (except during the summer). Vegetable & floral gardening, landscape, lawn care. herbs and many other topics are discussed. Contact Marsha Graham at 771-9120 for additional information.

Heritage Rails to Trails Coalition

The Heritage Rail-Trail Coalition was formed to convert the abandoned Con-Rail right of way, in and near Hilliard, into a paved trail for public use, Currently the trail stretches from Old Hilliard to Amlin Road.  This trail allows for safe and scenic public use for activities such as walking, bicycling and rollerblading. For additional information contact the Hilliard Parks & Recreation Dept. at 876-5200.
