The Heritage Rail Trail is a seven mile multi-purpose trail
stretching from Old Hilliard (Center Street, behind Heritage &
Memorial middle schools) to near Plain City (Cemetery Pike
road). This trail allows for safe and scenic public use for
activities such as walking, jogging, bicycling and rollerblading.
The section of trail from the trail head in Old Hilliard to
Hayden Run Road is owned and maintained by the City of Hilliard. Parking is available at both Center Street and Hayden
Run Road.
The City of Hilliard and Franklin County Metro Parks work closely
with the Heritage Rail Trail Coalition, an independent support
organization, on issues of use and development concerning the
